codesnap is designed to work smoothly on Windows PCs. To run codesnap, your computer should meet these basic requirements:
- Windows 10 or later (64-bit recommended)
- At least 2 GB of free RAM
- 100 MB available disk space for installation
- A screen resolution of 1024 x 768 or higher
- Internet connection to download the program; not needed to run after installation
Follow these steps to download and start using codesnap on your Windows computer. The instructions assume no technical background.
You need to download codesnap from its main GitHub page. Use the link below to go to the download area:
- Click the link above or visit:

- Click on the latest release (it should have the highest version number).
- Find the file that ends with
.exe. This Windows installer file might look likecodesnap-setup.exe. - Click the
.exefile to download it to your computer. - Wait for the download to finish before moving to the next step.
- After the download finishes, open your "Downloads" folder or wherever you saved the installer.
- Double-click on the
codesnap-setup.exefile to start the installation. - The Windows User Account Control may ask if you allow the app to make changes. Click "Yes".
- The setup wizard will open. Read the instructions on each screen.
- Choose "Next" to accept the default installation settings.
- The installer will copy the files and install codesnap on your PC.
- When the installation finishes, click "Finish" to close the wizard. codesnap is now ready to use.
- Find the codesnap shortcut on your desktop or in the Start Menu under "codesnap".
- Double-click to open the program.
- On the main screen, you can paste your code or type it in the text box.
- Choose the programming language from the dropdown menu to highlight your code properly.
- Select a color theme that fits your style or presentation needs.
- Preview your screenshot on the right side of the window.
- Adjust font size or other options if available.
- When you are happy with the look, click the "Export" or "Save as PNG" button.
- Choose a folder on your PC where you want to save your image.
- Click "Save" and find your screenshot in the selected folder.
