@yee379 I'm making this a DRAFT PR just to see the changes and point you at the dev_mokun branch, as I remembered I'd made some updates to python and pkg versions so we could start with an updated python 3.11 env.
However, before we remove the DRAFT status and actually merge it we'll want to have tested all critical functionality of the package to make sure everything is indeed still working as expected.
