Overall, I like this chapter HOWEVER I feel it is incomplete without any notion of modularity. For testability and maintainability not just horizontal slicing is beneficial (e.g. separating from database) but also vertical slicing (having autonomous modules, that share no code, have no relationships but talk through their APIs or events/signals).
