This repo is officially open for you guys to add whatever you think is useful! Whether it’s a tiny tweak, a new soundboard clip, or a massive new feature, go for it.
The One Big Rule: Keep it simple and stick to our tech stack.
DO NOT use React, Vue, or heavy frameworks.
DO use the custom element engine I built in /src/gp2/elements.js.
We need to keep this fast and compatible with our devboxes/Chromebooks. If you want to build something big, just make sure it plays nice with the existing gp2/elements system.
Can’t wait to see what things you add! Commit away!
🖥 About: Server & Hosting
- Random Rants + currently runs on Render's Free Tier.
- Be Patient: If the site hasn't been visited in a while, it might take a minute to spin up.
- Resource Limits: We have limited RAM and CPU. Please keep backend logic efficient.
- Host Your Own: If you manage to get a better instance running (and it's unblocked for school use!), let us know—we’re open to upgrades!
