I've debugged this a bit more, and it was also discussed on Slack, here's a short summary:
So it's something in Rust 1.88.0 that results in a broken maturin on a64fx. Hopefully, we can find which change in 1.89.0 solved this, and make a patch. |

@bedroge Why don't we just bump the Rust version that's used as build dependency I see no downside in that, and it won't cause trouble somewhere else, |
I was hoping to narrow it down a bit more, but maybe that's a bit of a dead end / waste of effort anyway. What you propose should indeed work, and is much easier, so let me try that. |
