Thanks for bringing this up. We should be able to lower it. If you're interested, you can try putting up a PR. If CI looks good, we can merge it. Otherwise, I can give it a try next week. |

For Ubuntu LTS noble it would be at least good to lower it to 3.28. I've just checked out 1.1.0 and then had to hack CMAKELISTS.txt again and changed it to 3.28. Compiles just fine.
