Brief description of your issue

The installer won't start after downloading package

Steps to reproduce

winget install or winget upgrade

Expected behavior

Searching package → download package → check hash → install package

Actual behavior

Searching package → download package → check hash
checing %temp\winget% the package folder can be found but the installer file is just a file named in hash, without extension name.

Image When you know the file type and name you can manually change extension and file name and install manually, or repeat the winget install/upgrade command, and the winget installer will continue to work. Image
