Applying star variations

I was wondering, how I would apply one of the sub-stars like green-check and orange-guillemet to messages via gmailctl. In the search interface we can unearth those messages via has:green-check, but in the native options interface I can't already apply these via rules (or can't find a way to do so). Is this something that is not possible by design or do we have some kind of labeling way to work that in?

Hey @davidsneighbour, I'm not really sure about this one. If it's not possible to do it through the UI, most likely it's impossible to do it through the API as well.

Documentation on that is usually sparse, so what I usually do when something new pops up is to do it in the UI, then download it with gmailctl and see what's in there. But in this case, we have no way to tell.

That makes sense. I also changed to a "system" where I use only the default stars and do other segmentation via labels. I think those special stars might just be labels that are not publicly available. In the beginning (is it 22 years already?) there were only single stars anyway. Thanks.
