MATLAB R2024b Update 8 has issues with using the Desktop when used with a non-null base URL

Summary

When using matlab-proxy with nested base URL such as /a/b, double-clicking on the file from the file browser gives "Invalid function name" error as shown below

Some other issues also started occurring with the update 8 release such as

1. File icons not rendering

2. Missing buttons in navigation bar

This issue does not happen with older updates of R2024b release.

Workaround:
Use empty base URL by setting MWI_BASE_URL=/ if possible before starting matlab-proxy
