1. Do you have a roadmap, final-features, main goals, OS-targets, dates for what will come with sqlgen version 1.0?

2. I am having trouble getting started with your project on Linux. Do you have a forum, social media, community, discussions panel... where I can ask some questions and get some help troubleshooting?

3. Can the entry-point to test sqlgen be improved?

   • Maybe videos, tutorials, sample-projects with all the necessary dependencies, libs availability on pacman/apt/dnf package managers.
   • I still haven't figured out how to make this work...

4. Has the overall community or scientific community reviewed and analysed your work so far?

5. Is sqlgen currently being used/applied at any company, on a production level to reinforce your commitment, security and trust on product?

6. Is this project maintained or part of some (non-profit) organisation, company, group, ... ?

Hi @mythrz,

1. I think that in terms of functionality the main goals have been reached. However, it might be a good idea to wait a bit longer until we give it 1.0.

2, 3. Have you followed the installation instructions in the README? Just to be sure, I followed them again and I was able to get it running on Linux in under 5 min or so, just by copying and pasting from the instructions. Moreoever, we have Github Action pipelines to test the library in all kinds of settings. For your convenience, here are the steps:

ubuntu@dev:~$ sudo apt-get install autoconf bison flex # Linux (Ubuntu, Debian, ...)
ubuntu@dev:~$ cd sqlgen/
ubuntu@dev:~/sqlgen$ git submodule update --init
ubuntu@dev:~/sqlgen$ cmake -S . -B build -DCMAKE_CXX_STANDARD=20 -DCMAKE_BUILD_TYPE=Release
ubuntu@dev:~/sqlgen$ cmake --build build -j 4  # gcc, clang

If you have any specific problems and something isn't working the way it is documented, please open an issue and explain your problems at greater detail.

4., 5., 6. We are certainly using it in our own projects and I know of some others who are using it as well. This being open-source, though, I cannot give you any exact numbers. However, we are certainly maintaining it.
