For playing videos from WebDAV servers and could be implemented into the library tab of Grayjay with inspiration from the Infuse iOS app which is a video player that has WebDAV support and also has a library tab like Grayjay does.
This could allow people to play media like Movies or TV shows (that they own) downloaded on their WebDAV servers remotely by using Grayjay.
I currently use my iPad for this use case with the Infuse app to connect to a WebDAV server that one of the services I use provides, but I would like to give my iPad away soon to minimalise how many devices I use daily and this is one of the last things I would need before leaving apples walled garden to then just use my phone and computer (Steam Deck docked to a monitor lol) from that point onwards.
If WebDAV was implemented into Grayjay I think other people with WebDAV servers that have media on them would also find it useful.
I think this would be a way more viable option as well as being less janky than the idea i presented before and I really hope this can be considered.
Thank you!
P.S the ability to open a network stream on Grayjay under the Library tab would be nice as well but I didn't want to clutter the Issues tab.
This would then allow me to delete the Stremio app off of my phone if WebDAV was implemented as well as the MPV android app if opening network streams was also made possible. It would be hitting two birds with one stone if these features were both implemented into Grayjay although I think WebDAV would be way more important since I would really like to live without using Stremio.
Proposal
As I mentioned above, this could be implemented into the Library tab which could make the Library tab much more useful as I don't have that much media locally downloaded on my phone, but with WebDAV support implemented, the Library tab would be way more useful for me personally.
Also, if implemented, Grayjay could be featured on Torbox's third party intergrations page which means, almost certainly, more people would use Grayjay or give Grayjay a try if this feature is implemented as Torbox has over 450,000 users.
