Is this project forever dead?

To me, the idea of Clutter on Android looked amazing. Imagine my trauma when I realized that this hasn't been updated since 2012...

Is there any hope of this project coming back to life? Ever? At all?

Well... Clutter is kind of on its way out.
It's being somewhat deprecated in the gnome stack in favor of Gtk+ (version 4 should offer somewhat similar features).

It was a cool project but I don't think anybody is going to work on it anymore and so updating the android backend doesn't feel like a worthwhile project.

Huh, I didn't realize that...I noticed that it didn't seem development was too active though. Are there any references as to that?
