Summary
Each ballot question has an individual page displaying the relevant information in an upper section and multiple tabs (overview, testimonies).

  • document ID
  • question title
  • explanation of what a 'yes' outcome would change in law
  • explanation of a 'yes' outcome would impact real life
  • clear, concise summary of the question being asked
  • other users' testimony on the question
  • a visual summary of other users' collective sentiment on the question (thumbs up/down numbers)

This issue describes only the MVP for this feature, with notes on potential improvements given.

Work Detail

  • Create a framework to generate an individual page for each ballot question based on its petition number
  • Page initially only has the persistent upper section, overview tab, testimony tab
  • Persistent upper section contains
    • Question number
    • Question title (may not be the actual question)
    • Clear explanation of what a 'yes' outcome would change in law and real life
    • Call to create testimony
  • Overview tab contains:
    • Key details (specific to each question, will need to be manually created)
    • Final summary
    • Link to associated bill page
    • Link to complete text
  • Testimony tab contains
    • other users' testimony on the question divided by individual vs organization
    • a visual summary of other users' collective sentiment on the question (thumbs up/down numbers)

🔴 Testimony tab does NOT contain testimony related to the preceding bill.

Current State
No existing work has been done on ballot questions.
