Using discord or gotify for notifications doesnt work

Describe the bug
Using discord or gotify for notifications doesn't work because it seems charon resolves the ip of the gotify or discord domain provided and then tries to use https to send the notification directly to the IP, causing it to be rejected.

Notifications work out of the box

I know the security notifications have a saving error. I've been doing so much other stuff I didn't even realize I wasn't getting any of the app notifications anymore. I have another user submitted issue I'm working on now but I'll get to this as soon as that is finished.

I just wanted to touch base back with you and let you know that the other day I made a huge boo boo and got into a propagation and rebase loop. It merged almost everything downstream instead of up. While the cause had been fixed, I'm still going through the history and trying to get back to where I was before that, As soon as all my testing that I already had is back to where I left off, I can start triage on new bugs. Sorry it's taken so long.

This is likely a permissions issue caused by the recent security hardening when the app was switched to run as a non-root user. I’m investigating, but the ETA is still TBD until I can get my CI/CD tests passing again.
