automatic versioning is actually not really what we want (trust me, I tried it before it's just annoying...). We rather need an option to automatically push the version number of a tag to the source code... An option would be to use a gh action to listen to a tag push. The tag version number will then be automatically written to some version.json and the application itself takes the version number to be displayed from this version.json
