Issue in Setting up Sunbird Mobile Application

Hi Team

We are facing issues while executing the listed API to generate the key and secret for the mobile app:

Also we would need to know the steps to generate the Authorization token

Request your guidance on how to generate and use the mobile_admin_jwt_token and create the key and secret.

Can I know why are we trying to generate the mobile app key and secret? As it will be already generated while installation through edbb kong consumer job and available in the edbb kong consumer config map, and the same credentials can be used for mobile app.

Hi Jerald,

I have configured the following credentials from the consumer config map:

Key: mobile_app
Secret: mobile_app***********1gu5w

However, the application is still displaying the same Welcome Screen as before.

Could you please help check if anything might be missing or incorrectly configured on my end?

1. Whether the keys fetched are valid and same keys are reflected in the gradle.properties?
2. Was the app rebuilt freshly after adding the config secrets?
3. Got any error or error logs on builds?

Could you please inspect the app in Android Studio and monitor the network tab? I’d like to see if any APIs are failing. If so, can you please share the logs so I can get a better understanding of the issue.

Thank you for the suggestion.

I inspected the app in Android Studio and monitored the network activity. It seems there are some failures. Please find the error details below:

Error Log:

Failed to get FIS auth token:
java.util.concurrent.ExecutionException: com.google.firebase.installations.FirebaseInstallationsException: Firebase Installations Service is unavailable. Please try again later.

I’ve also captured a screenshot while inspecting the network calls and am sharing it for your reference. However, I did not observe any API calls being triggered in the network logs.

Please let me know if you need any additional logs or details from my side.

Yes, the google-services.json file has been added to the following locations in the project:

android/google-services.json
android/app/google-services.json
configurations/google-services.json
android/capacitor-cordova-android-plugins/google-services.json
android/capacitor-cordova-android-plugins/src/google-services.json

Additionally, I created the google-services.json file using my own Firebase account with the following package names:
