[QUESTION] I can't use autofill both on brower and apps

I‘m on 1.15-r1.
I‘ve actually tried many versions, but autofill doesn‘t work on any of them.
My phone runs Android 14, and I suspect the app might not be compatible with Android 14.

I too have lost the automatic filling of logins and passwords on Chrome Android with Keepass2Android, even though it works with my Android apps.

I would say that it has not been working since February 2025, but I am not sure exactly.

I update my apps at least once a week.

I'm on a Pixel 9A, Android 16, security update from February 5, 2026, Google Play system update from January 1, 2026 (same as the November 1, 2025 version), Keepass2Android 1.14-r4.

Is this an Android settings issue or an app issue?

I don't think I've changed anything in Keepass2Android.

Do you think you can fix this problem quickly?

Have you configured Chrome right?

On chrome you have to choose KeePass2Android as an Autofill-Service:

Settings -> Passwords and Autofill -> Autofill Services -> Autofill using another Service

No Problem. Knowing Google it could have been them changing the default option in Chrome.

@PhilippC Maybe it would be advisable to put this quirk with Chrome into the wiki? There are perhaps other people who will stumble over this problem too. Or at least keep this issue open.

Thank you for your feedback. There is a comment in French dated 11/25/2025 with a one-star rating on Google apps that potentially addresses the same issue I am experiencing. If possible, please respond to them.

I won't be hunting down that comment to tell them. I'm just someone helping here and there in repos that aren't my own. But at least it's a good example of why I think this could be mentioned in the wiki.

Hi, is there any solution for opera Android browser? I can't find autofill setting in it.

I went over the settings for Opera Android Browser, and it seems as if Opera does not allow it? I can't find any option to change the password provider, seemingly because Opera wants you to use the built in browser password manager. Either live with it and open Keepass2Android manually for passwords or change Browsers. I use Brave Browser and there I can use the Browser builtin password manager and KeePass2Android simultaneously.

What is weird, button is appearing (screen 1) but clicking does nothing.
What is weirder, if keepaas is opened in background, two buttons are appearing (screen 2, Tauron is name of visited page), and while first one does nothing, second one works opening search results :o
I'm wondering whether it's browser or keyboard related?

I doubt it's keyboard related. That does look like gboard, which I am also using, and I have no problems with that. As for the two Buttons appearing in screen 2, first one ist just like a 'shortcut' to paste in your username and password. If you click on the first one, it should theoretically paste in your credentials. If not, then I have no idea how to fix this unfortunately.

Yup, that's Google board. First button from left does not work since some time, but maybe it's another kind of issue. I'm not sure when it stopped working, afaik it was update to dotnet 8 (along with changes for UI)
