Description

In Phone Island, when receiving a video call, the user cannot open the video directly from the incoming call UI. They must manually enable video from the side menu. Once video is enabled, the numeric keypad (DTMF) and other call controls (e.g., call parking) are no longer accessible, and there is no way to return to the previous “audio/call controls” screen after closing video.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Receive an incoming call from a video via NethLink on Phone Island.
  2. Observe that the incoming call screen does not offer a direct way to open the video.
  3. Open the side menu and manually enable/start video.
  4. While video is open, try to open the numeric keypad to send DTMF (e.g., to trigger the intercom relay).
  5. Try to close the video and return to the previous call controls screen (audio UI) to access features like parking/keypad.

Expected behavior

  • Option to automatically start video when an incoming doorphone/video call is received (e.g., a setting toggle like NethVoice app).
  • While video is open, user can still access the numeric keypad (DTMF) and core call controls.
  • User can switch back and forth between “video view” and “call controls/audio view” during the call.

Actual behavior

  • Video cannot be opened directly from the incoming call UI; it must be enabled manually via the side menu.
  • When video is open, the numeric keypad/DTMF is not reachable, preventing relay opening via DTMF.
  • After starting video, there is no way to return to the previous call screen; some functions become unavailable (e.g., call parking, keypad, etc.).
