Special Symbols setting is not synchronized among open windows #171
Description
When there are multiple Koder windows open and the user clicks on the special symbols toolbar button the other windows are not updated. Switching to one of the other windows and clicking on the special symbols button does nothing. A second click turns it on for that window.
This is a problem because they share the same fPreferences message and use that to determine what to do, instead of looking at the current state of the editor in the window.
I was going to work on this but I wasn't sure which way to fix it.
- This setting is application-wide and clicking the toolbar button (or menuitem) changes all open windows immediately.
or...
- This setting is per-window and fPreferences would only save the last known state of the button when Koder quits. The state of the toolbar button would depend on the scintilla setting instead of fPreferences.
