Add or improve code examples in docstrings

Hi PyGMT team!

I am looking to make my first code contribution to the project and I'd love to help improve the documentation from the inside.

I noticed that some functions might be missing practical code examples in their docstrings. I would be very happy to go through the code and add these examples following the NumPy docstring standard.

Is there a specific module (perhaps related to grid operations, plotting, or data processing) that currently needs this the most? If you can point me in the right direction or assign me a specific file, I'd gladly take it on!

Really happy to hear your positive feedback on PyGMT and that it is useful for your work 🙂.

I think what you mention here is actually related to the issues #1957, #1686, and #1666. So great that you already started working on these older issues.
